Your privacy is of paramount importance to us. Storage Health (referred to as the "Application") is designed with a strict "Privacy by Design" and "Local-Only" architecture.

No Data Collection: The Application does not collect, record, transmit, or share any personal data, usage telemetry, or device-identifying information.

100% Offline Operation: The Application does not request or possess the android.permission.INTERNET permission. It is technically impossible for the Application to send any information from your device to external servers, third parties, or the developer.

Because the Application does not connect to the internet or utilize external databases, we do not collect any information of any kind.

To provide its core utility, the Application reads specific hardware statistics from your device. All calculations are performed instantly in memory and are discarded or stored strictly within the private local storage of the Application:

  • Storage Space and Performance: Calculates total/free space, performs temporary local read/write speed benchmarks to estimate storage speed, and reads wear indicators.
  • Device Temperature and Thermals: Evaluates device CPU and thermal status to notify you of potential thermal throttling.
  • Battery Telemetry: Checks battery properties (such as level, health, voltage, temperature, charging cycles, and remaining vs. design capacity in mAh).

3. Device Permissions Used

To monitor device health and thermals properly, the Application requires access to specific system statistics. Click on the permission below to learn more about how it is used:

Purpose: Validates app licensing through the Google Play Console system.

Usage: Verifies that the app was downloaded legitimately from the Google Play Store to prevent piracy and tampering.

Data Handling: Performs a local signature verification with Google Play Services on your device. No user or device identifiers are collected, shared, or stored.

Purpose: Internal security permission automatically generated by the Android build toolchain.

Usage: Prevents other applications on your device from sending unapproved broadcasts or intents to Storage Health's internal receivers (compliance requirement for Android 13+ SDK).

Data Handling: A purely system-level, technical security boundary; does not handle, store, or transmit any user data.

4. Third-Party Services and Libraries

The Application is built using official Android libraries and Kotlin/Compose packages. It does not integrate any third-party tracking software, advertisement platforms (like Google AdMob), analytics (like Firebase Analytics), or user-identity networks. There are no tracking scripts, cookies, or trackers embedded in the Application.

5. Children’s Privacy

The Application is fully safe and does not target or address anyone under the age of 13. Since we do not collect any personal information whatsoever, we do not knowingly collect, maintain, or evaluate information from children.
